Ioannis Stribis

Ioanis Stribis is a prominent academic and Associate Professor at the Department of Mediterranean Studies, University of the Aegean. He holds a Ph.D.in International Law from Université Panthéon-Sorbonne, with a specialization in international law, and Law Degree from the Faculty of Law at the University of Athens. He coordinated and took part in a number of international initiatives and projects, such as Erasmus+ Jean Monnet «European Governance of Migration: The external dimension».
During his professional career he has served in total seventeen years as a legal adviser at the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) in Istanbul, and later Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
His research interests encompass topics related to the Aegean region, maritime law and maritime security. He published several books in Greek, English and Russian on a variety of topics, such as decision making, international law, security, etc.
