Róbert Gönczi

Migration Research Institute
Róbert Gönczi earned his International Security and Defense Policy degree from the Faculty of Military Science and Officer Training at the National University of Public Service. He also completed his master’s in international relations at Corvinus University of Budapest. Since 2017, he has been a member of the Mathias Corvinus Collegium community, first as a student and later as an alumnus. Throughout his career, he has worked as a foreign policy journalist for Mandiner and Neokohn, in addition to his involvement with the Migration Research Institute. He was a founding member of the Defense Innovation Research Institute (later renamed TECHTRA Technology Transfer Institute) and served as the Vice President for Professional Affairs of the College of Advanced Studies in Security Policy for over a year. He gained international experience through his work at the Warsaw Institute. His primary research interests include the instrumentalization of migration, the post-Soviet region, Central and Eastern Europe, and the Arctic.
