Stefan Vladisavljev is Programme Director at the BFPE Foundation for a Responsible Society, a well-known NGO based in Belgrade, Serbia. In this position, he leads the strategic programme development of the organisation and oversees numerous project activities at local, national and regional levels in Serbia and the Western Balkans. Stefan's expertise focuses on foreign policy, regional cooperation and the influence of external actors on Serbia and the Western Balkans, with a particular focus on the growing cooperation between China and the Western Balkan countries. He has written policy analysis for the International Republican Institute (USA), co-authored the Western Balkans section of the EU-China relations study for the European Parliament's AFET Committee, and regularly publishes insightful articles for international media, including The Diplomat, ECFR, CEPA and War on the Rocks. In addition, Stefan is involved in various expert networks, serving as a visiting scholar at China Observers in Central and Eastern Europe (CHOICE), participating in the Western Balkans Task Force of the International Republican Institute, and contributing to the Serbian National Convention on the European Union, in particular Working Groups 31 and 35.
