Areg Kochinyan

Research Center on Security Policy

President of the "Research Center on Security Policy" NGO since 2022. From 2022 to 2024, served as Deputy Director at “X-Art” LLC. Former Press-Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia (2018–2020) and previously worked on educational and development projects, including leadership roles at “Enlight” NGO and Syunik Regional Development Foundation.

He has coordinated programs with the “European Youth Parliament” and “The Future is Yours” NGOs. Academically, he pursued a PhD in World History at Yerevan State University (2017–2023), studied at the Diplomatic School of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2016–2017), and completed graduate studies at YSU and Charles University in Prague. He holds bachelor’s degrees in both History and Political Science.

A prolific participant in over 200 international and national conferences and programs, he is also the author of more than 100 published articles and analyses. A veteran of the Armenian Armed Forces (2011–2013), he holds the rank of Senior Lieutenant in the reserves and has received over 20 service awards.
