Zoran Dmitrovski

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of the Republic of North Macedonia

Zoran Dimitrovski is a Macedonian journalist and politician, serving since July 2024 as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of the Republic of North Macedonia. He has a 35-year career in print media, having been editor-in-chief of the daily newspapers “Nova Makedonija,” “Večer,” and “Dnevnik,” as well as the weekly “Fokus.” From 2001 to 2004, he served as a correspondent in Washington, D.C., for “Nova Makedonija.” He has authored over 1,500 publications, including essays, analyses, and interviews. Dimitrovski holds a degree in journalism from the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje and a master's degree in political science from Central European University in Budapest. He teaches critical thinking and analytical writing at the Institute of Communication Studies in Skopje. From 2020 to 2023, he served as Deputy Minister of Local Self-Government. Since 2019, he has been the Secretary General of the centrist Democratic Union party.
